The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed about the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a read more high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service stage produced for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to permit the servicing of all buyers and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
